School Curriculum

Our overarching vision statement is:

Bywell is an inclusive church school where the Christian ethos encourages thoughtfulness and humanity.
We learn and grow together, aiming high and striving to be the best we can. In our safe, friendly and happy environment, all members of the school community are valued and respected. Our ethos is underpinned through the teachings of the Parable of The Mustard Seed. (Matthew 13:31-32) (Mark 4:31-32) (Luke 13:18-19)

Our curriculum is designed to bring our ethos to life.  Individual subject Intention and Implementation statements share how each discipline is planned and taught at our school.  The Impact statement for each subject will be updated at the end of each academic year by capturing pupil outcomes and views.

Below are the curriculum overviews for every year group.  Any curriculum related queries can be raised with the class teachers in the first instance.
